Wollongong Coal Limited is a mining company, which owns and operates the Russell Vale Colliery and Wongawilli Colliery in the Southern Coalfields Region of New South Wales. The Company is engaged in expanding and developing Russell Vale colliery; mining and producing coal, and selling and exporting coal. The Company operates through the segment of coal mining, coal preparation and export of coal. The Russell Vale Colliery is located approximately 10 kilometers north of Wollongong and approximately 60 kilometers south of Sydney. The Russell Vale Colliery mine is spread over approximately 6,420 hectares and comprises over three coal seams, including the Bulli, Balgownie and Wongawilli seams. Wongawilli Colliery is located approximately 15 kilometers south-west of Wollongong and 80 kilometers south-west of Sydney. Its mines are situated in close proximity to the Port Kembla Coal Terminal. Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) is its ultimate parent company.More
