Buddy ' Statsman - I dont do this for a living and the newspapers certainly dont pay me to write articles on the subject.

Marcus Padley however does and from what I understand he is well regarded in the stock broking / financial industry . The two Padley articles in this thread clearly demonstrate that the use of charts and more importantly stop loss ( lock in profit ) should be employed by all stockmarket participants both traders and investors alike.

Most people who dismiss charting as Voodoo do so because they cant be bothered taking a little time to even understand the basics of what help they can be .
