yellowcake - apologies if I misunderstood your post. My original thoughts were that the private clients of JPM and HSBC had little relevance in all this. As we don't know who these private clients are in these nominee accounts it is highly plausible that they are as you state. Thanks for sharing you insight in PMs short positions.
