I don't understand where it's all gone wrong for them, they had great ministers in the Hawke / Keating governments even if you didn't like their politics: eg John Button, Peter Walsh, Keating, Gareth Evans, Beazley, Crean etc and Richo kept everyone in line.

The current mob are politically inept, they have good ideas (amongst many bad ones) on reform but totally unable to sell their ideas let alone fund them.

It's not healthy when any new government (I am talking about Abbott's now) can pretty much come into power knowing its opposition will be ineffectual for many many years. Breeds arrogance and complacency.

This country deserves better.
