Firstly no, I havent used the product personally because condoms haven't been a part of my life for a while personally. Nor is BV a part of my life or my wife's. But, like I said I did pop the question to a female doctor who said they were unlikely to recommend anything OTC at the moment, and was not super impressed yet by what she saw from a brief glance at Vivagel's info.
Re BV treatment: the market already exists... so could you elaborate more why you think that the treatment won't fly?
That's part of the reason, there are already plenty of OTC treatments, plus there is the antibiotics which are mostly paid for by the govt. Whether or not antibiotics have bad side effects for individuals won't matter too much because of how cheap they are already. Then in the remaining space there are all the other things, where Vivagel needs to try and carve a space.
