Do any of the people who wasted their time calling the company honestly believe they would be told "The deal is progressing terribly. An announcement will be made shortly." ???
Of course the will say things are progressing well. It's about the most meaningless statement they could make.
I'm thinking of having a bacon sandwich for lunch. Plans for the bacon sandwich are progressing well.
