Speccy sleeps with one eye open.....

Its certainly looking very good though - I agree. BAR is not the kind of stock where I feel I have to get ready to bail out at any moment so I haven't actually set a stop loss on this one. I really do believe that BAR will continue to re-rate in the upwards direction. Some corrections like yesterday will occur along the way - of course - but I have very strong confidence in the overall trend.

The only thing that would sink it is a major crash in the POG but really, seriously, I don't see that happening. I'm not saying the frenzied prophets of economic doom are correct and that gold will explode to $5000 an ounce as some are predicting. However I do believe a major rise is far more likely than a POG crash - and BAR will do very well indeed even if the POG drops modestly.

And, as the SPECCster likes to point out - that's just looking at gold. Right now the Mt Thirsty Cobalt is just an "extra" which isn't really factored into the SP at all. And yet - in some very credible scenarios - Mt Thirsty could ultimately prove far more valuable than the entire BAR gold operation.....

Will it happen? Still only a maybe - but it's not an unlikely maybe.

I'm very confident BAR will be a great investment - it already is for me! (up +62.3% since I bought it 2 months ago, and ppl like Speccy are doing far better than that!) And yeah that's good - in fact it's great! -But Mt Thirsty, or a further rise in the gold price, could make it truly spectacular investment .....
