MPO assets in NSW and QLD are an easy way for a co like AJ Lucas, Metgasco, Eastern Star, etc to grow at a discount .
If a dark horse European co is willing to cough up $225 million for a stake in some undeveloped AOE assets in Queensland (credit to AOE management), then look what just half that money could buy in MPO across NSW, QLD, USA, and China .
By divestment of individual assets a corporate raider could make a massive profit, without ever producing a cf of gas .

Any possibility is a goer .
