jorc and more results could make this one of the biggest copper discoveries in the world...................................Impressive results from Saudi project: ADV Group

    Sayid Portal - Saudi Arabia

Sydney-based ADV Group has announced further copper intersections, along with gold, silver and zinc, from the Jabal Sayid minerals project in Saudi Arabia.

The new drill results, from the first diamond drill hole on Zone 4 within the Jabal Sayid project, included 254m at 2.65% copper, with significant associated gold, silver and zinc intersections.

Intercepts included 54m of 8.22% copper, 1.12g/t gold, 14.1g/t silver and 0.19% zinc, making this the thickest, highest-grade zone ever drilled in Zone 4.

ADV said the latest results highlighted the potential of the project to host a very substantial inventory of copper, gold resources in world terms, with significant silver and base metal credits.

“The upper limit of the mineralised zone has been intercepted 50m closer to surface than previously interpreted and the grade is substantially better than predicted,” ADV said. “The hole ended in mineralisation, with the bottom of Zone 4 yet to be identified.”

As previously announced, ADV is buying into the project via its proposed acquisition of 100 percent of Vertex, which holds a major portfolio of copper, gold and other base and precious metal projects on the Arabian Shield in Saudi Arabia.

The projects are held by Vertex’s 70 percent-owned Saudi Arabian operating subsidiary, Bariq Mining, which is currently earning a 50 percent interest in the Jabal Sayid project and holds a 100 percent interest in other projects in the region.

Vertex/Bariq CEO, Inés Scotland described the assays for the first Zone 4 diamond drill hole as an outstanding result from a deposit that had continued to surprise.

“After producing exceptional drill results from Zones 1 and 2, our technical team positioned this hole to fill some of the data gaps in our knowledge of Zone 4,” Ms Scotland said.

“The 54m at plus 8% copper came out of left field and has the potential to improve the already attractive economics of the project, and the 123m at 1.1% copper, from what we were testing as the lower grade halo at the top of this zone, was a great result,” she said.
