Hi Jula, In regard to your concern about Hogan partners selling, I think you’re jumping at shadows here (no offence intended). As others have stated on this thread people and directors lighten their portfolios for all sorts of reasons. I’m sure there have been several UMC shareholders who have been margin called in the recent market rout which has caused in my opinion this stock to be way over sold. Ideally, I agree with you in the respect that I’d prefer not to see any director or major shareholder lighten up in this stock.
You will also note that Jim R has lightened his position by 335,000 units which is a very small percentage of his overall holding. If there was something sinister going on or bad or less than good news on the horizon then Jim would have off loaded much more stock accordingly. Personally from what I’ve heard about Jim I don’t think he’s that type of bloke and would be intending to hold for the long haul into the alumina development.
Its also worth noting that there have been several new additions to the top 20 list including ALAN BIRCHMORE. There has also been no change to Fehlberg’s position. The updated total number of shares are also up slightly on the last list albeit that the April list only consisted of 19.
