i know of one factory that simply had to install a few walls to "section off" the IF part of the factory from the other part of the factory.

most CNCA factories are simply blending and packing operations (hence the name "blend and pack"). They take in bulk base IF powder and mix it with some additional powders/ingredients and install a canning line and warehouse. Not highly technical stuff.

This business also needs to have a good quality control, tracebility of ingredients system in place. once introducing inhouse spray drying, it increases by orders of magnitude both in terms of cost ($30m+), time (120-18 months if everything goes smoothly to build/install and complexity of operation......
