I briefly owned SPL along with LCT and AVH up until December 2017. I disposed of all of my holdings in all three companies after I lost my shirt on LCT because of a failed phase 2 trial on a promising drug. My takeaway from that experience was that I would only invest in a pharma startup with either a fully approved game changing product or with game changing pipeline + a revenue generating product. I am just waiting for the big SPL announcement to reevaluate whether I should jump back in.
