No stock stands alone on its own virtues without someone being paid to espouse said virtues. Why do you think major blue-chip companies paid millions for their Investor Relation/Public Relation department and regularly engage in Roadshows with Institutional investors? To espouse the virtues of their companies and pumping their stocks with investors.
If AVZ's management doing a good job in promoting AVZ and keep investors informed like many companies do, then ML wouldn't have to do what he did. So instead of getting angry with ML, you should direct your disappointment at the management so that they can do a better job at informing shareholders and enhancing investors awareness through the right channel and processes in the future.
Were you spooked when AVZ paid the American company 3 million shares to promote the company in America for 3 months? Airguide is paid 1/3 of this for the full year and you dramatize this as a big deal. Imo, they've done a far better job so far in connecting AVZ with multiple potential Chinese and HongKong investors/(take-over) partners then the North American engagement.
