My only thoughts are as an ex PayPal merchant, I would look for any alternative not to use PayPal again in the future.
A google search reveals numerous complaints over many years from numerous countries and recently. The delays and lack of real-time processing for the merchant are costly as are the fees particularly when dealing with international currencies. Plus your PayPal account funds were not yours - you often had to wait 5 working/business days to clear before you could access them/transfer them to yourself.
This link sums it up for me: https://www.quora.com/What-good-or-...nts-pro-instead-of-a-regular-merchant-account
That was my experience of using it in 2015/16. The experience is not always better for the customer and it is interesting the South Africa respondent is in the link as South Africa had banned PayPal. I couldn't receive payments from SA and vice versa.
I certainly cannot imagine PayPal being a threat to ISX. I could imagine PayPal having to consider that maybe one day they should develop and evolve technologically. I wonder if they might consider ISX a prime candidate as a buy-out in the future in order to secure the technology.
Not a fan of PayPal at all. Many aren't. Customers like PayPal but I doubt whether too many merchants do.
Here are the list of iZettle complaints courtesy of a google search. Many sound as similarly frustrating as PayPal. Ignore the ratings as they are often self-rated.
