Short Position for SPL shares at 19-11-2018

In reading the very sensible discussions on HC about SPL shorters and how nice it would be to see them "caught short" I was taken aback by the shear number of shares mentioned as short, 8,900,631 is the number per ASX "Reported Daily Short Positions for 19/11/2018" obtained at https://asic.gov.au/regulatory-resources/markets/short-selling/short-position-reports-table/

In perspective at close on Friday of $1.467 this is a staggering $13.05million.

We have to share the view of contributors to the SPL chat that this number of shares can't be shifted in a hurry without a huge drop in price and thus a huge loss to shorters which, with luck, will be even bigger if some good news comes out soon. So good news will reward us twice, an increase in value of our shares and a big hard lesson to shorters.
