What do you anticipate would be an average daily energy demand (capacity kWh) for recharging of an EV? I ask only because while I’m sure a 20kWh ESS will take many households through the dark hours before next sunrise, I’m not sure it will provide enough capacity to recharge the “average” refill on an EV also during those dark hours. Don’t get me wrong, I am a very strong supporter of the EV/PV/ESS and Li “world” (>5kWh panels, 5kWh inverter, hybrid car, capacity for ESS installation, household yard “tools” all switched to Li not petrol, enjoying a very favourable QLD feedin tariff still (bills?) etc), but I’m always keen to hear from those in the industry what capacity they foresee as being appropriate for households to be considering for future “off-grid” and EV transport purposes. Understanding those capacity needs will also go some distance to appreciating the increased demand for energy storage in the future.
