We as investors are always looking for that investing "edge" that bit of info no one else has "yet".
As everyone says...DYOR!!
Now all companies say that they have something special or they'll be the next big thing.
However, the recent James Marsh interview had some
VERY interesting nuggets in it...if you look a bit deeper.
It's looks like James just said...screw it...I'm going to tell them everything!
There where a few bits in there where I thought he may have crossed the line but, the board and NOW the ASX seem to be ok with it, as it wasn't a "formal" estimate....
just a MD talking up his mineral and company, which is becoming a rarer event this days IMO.
There was so much WOW... in the interview.
However for me...from a research point of view...THIS was
THE NUGGET. At 14:10...
Samso asks...Samso asks why is Halloysite here (just in these 3 spots in SA) ?
(A great and very simple question and I like the way it was asked.)
James reply is...IMO...
the core of why ADN is going to be a 1 billion MC company in the next few years. He goes...I got a mate in the U.K...
-I'll let you listen to the interview again instead of repeating it.
This mate of James, combined with James own Halloysite experience
is ADN's advantage (or moat).Well, I've heard a bit in the past few months about this Halloysite "Indiana Jones" person James has mentioned.
Until , I heard the interview...I didn't connect the dots.
So who is Jame's U.K mate?
It's
Frank Hartof First Test Minerals in the U.K
http://www.firsttestminerals.com/ab...p;LMCL=zCYSHC&LMCL=SByppr&LMCL=GHuPjeFirst Test Minerals also shows up in ADN's SS, as a consultant
(now we know there a bit more too it.)
Reading and clicking on all the links of First Test Minerals website FULLY, is a MUST if your serious about investing in ADN. However...something didn't add up?!
James said his mate was the Chief Geologist @ English China Clays (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_China_Clays)
and was sent around the world 35 years ago to find all the best Kaolin resources...Mr.Harts Linken doesn't show him to have worked at ECC.
So who was James mate from 35 years ago?
It appears to be
Colin M. Bristow...and he's a bit of a rock star (or Clay star if you prefer) in the Kaolin industry.
http://www.aimehq.org/programs/award/bio/colin-m-bristow-0*Think of him as Sean Connery to Harrison Ford's dad.
So it's likely Frank Hart and Mr. Bristow both have all of the world's Kaolin/Halloysite samples in their garage.
No, doubt
they've reviewed every mining area & map in the world to see exactly where this stuff is exactly. *this is info that ADN has though James.
Remembering that the Kaolin/Halloysite "BLEND" has been valuable but, only in the last 5-10 years has the
commercial "high grade" demand taken off...to which it seems only ADN's Halloysite has the
correct shape for new applications.
It's the PURE "tubular" Halloysite that has the extreme value.
The only other Halloysite resource that's close to ADN's is the NZ Matauri Bay quarry. My industry sources confirm the resource is shrinking and has issues with cristobalite. The tubes are also the wrong shape for new applications so it only works in ceramics due to its high purity.
Recapping:
James is 1 serious well connected Halloysite expert.
He has
massive irreplaceable industry experience and through his Indiana Jones mate (and his dad) has the best understanding of where the PURE commercial "high grade" "tubular" Halloysite is.
We appear to have the largest and the best Halloysite resource in the world by a VERY, very large margin....which will set ADN up for the next 20-30+ years.
Even if we get another 'slap Halloysite on a ASX release" wannabe. They are 2-3 years behind ADN.
ADN would be able to flood the market short term or likely have rock solid relationships with all the players, so any competitor wouldn't have a chance.
Remember there's lots of Halloysite in the world too... not so much of the commercial "high grade" stuff which ADN is swimming in.
That's a hell of a moat...dare I say Halloysite Monopoly.
It's these little finds you get from DYOR and then digging a bit more to find out which stocks are going to be the next SUPER-BAGGERS.
This potential is all just on current demand.
*IF any of these future Halloysite nano-tech applications come online (and with hundred's of patents and 1000's of white papers been released in the last 5+ years) I personally believe 1 if not more will stick...
My FAVS are...
-Chemo replacement,
-water filtration.
and if these or any others kick in, ADN will be selling pure Halloysite in Kg, not tones for extremely high margins with silly low CAPEX/ONEX's.
To me, this is what investing is all about...
finding the BEST RISK/REWARD stocks and buying as much as one can.IMO
DYOR!!
