Now I'm sure that Greenbushes can beat that in costs and in fact assume Talison sourced SC6 product is the lowest cost Hydroxide. However we're talking 100s not 1000s of dollars pt.
If you were to apply SC6 conversion costs of between US$2500-3000pt for LiOH; and a ratio of 7-8t SC6 as quoted in a previous post, consider the cost of SC6 required to beat the costs of the South American briners.
So I don't find the comment that costs of brine vs hard rock feed for LiOH being fairly equal very outrageous at all.
You all know the various advantages Spodumene producers like AJM hold in terms of consistency, low capital startup costs and flexibility of supply etc.
Just putting some numbers out there for people to make of them what they will.

It is not me saying that the cost is lower with hardrock.
Please show me an article proving that High performance LiOH is cheaper from brine.
Gangfeng currently is only using Spod to provide LiOH to the market mainly to LG Chem
how come they have all the deals with ev manufacturers with long range batteries
