On further reflection the concept of detection from coughing is flawed from a safety perspective.
I honestly believe authorities would like a non cough based diagnosis of respiratory disease if possible.
Maybe Resapps data can be scrutinised in such away to see patterns that may occur in a pre cough stage.
I will go out on a limb and say that this line of research may negate the need for a cough.
