The slow take up in electric vehicles (EV) has surprised many, seems the technology is just not where it needs to be too produce them economically relative to internal combustion, and especially given the collapse in oil prices. Who would have thought 10 years ago that the occasional Tesla would still be the only EV you ever see in most major cities. So now Tesla has a bigger than expected first mover advantage and Graphite prices are sliding, hopefully this dynamic turns the other way in the next 6-12 months. Maybe SYR share price is starting to look that far ahead, Tesla shareprice doesn't see any competition yet though (new highs Tuesday)
