Dear HotCopper community,
With ECT's latest announcement and the project well and truly underway, we felt that we should reactivate active Q&A sessions on this forum. ECT believes that keeping this community regularly updated is something which supports our company’s principle on openness and continual public engagement outside the ASX announcements.
We have been encouraged by many to continue this as it helps to resolve any vagaries or questions that the public may have about ASX announcements or other issues from time to time.
We are also mindful of the time we spend to do this as we also believe our efforts at all times must be purposeful and cost effective. COVID19 has caused disruption to the ECT business and delayed the start of the project but we are now in full swing, and will likely have regular updates related to the project that will help the HC community have a better understanding of progress and allow for questions directly to the company. In the past, we have kept the HotCopper Q&A sessions a regular feature, there is often a number of posters that ask repetitive, off-topic, flaming and baiting questions who are not shareholders. We are more inclined to provide tolerance to shareholders but those that are non-shareholders may in fact be simply “trolling” the company and disrupting ECT's attempt to engage with the HotCopper community in good faith.
To this end, ECT will continue with its policy introduced last year when posting as the ECT_Rep for Q&A sessions. If in our view posters are trolling the thread, we will ignore that poster and thus not answer further questions from that specific poster.
This will be a discretionary call by ECT and will not involve HotCopper administrators, however, as we tend to do, we like to have checks and balances in place, so any poster that feels aggrieved with the decision to the company to ignore then can email the company at info@ectltd.com.au with subject field, HotCopper Ignore – Appeal and state your case for why you shouldn’t be ignored and we’ll consider reversing the decision.
We don’t believe this will eliminate the community discussion or disadvantage genuine questions from conscientious posters but it will help ECT direct their efforts towards answering well intentioned questions.
All appeals will be forwarded to the ECT Integrity Officer for review.

Q&A Session will be open for questions through to 9pm tonight and all answers will be finalised by 9pm the following day, 22nd of October

Hi Rep

Will there be a summery of costs to build the plant ?

As part of the demo plant could been seen as Hydrogen advancement, are grants available to cover the costs of that section ?

Does ECT have to foot the bill for the asbestos removal or did the owners of the factory pay for this ?

Nickel is flying at the moment, can you show that MATMOR or what ever its called can utilise waste ore and produce an Environmentally friendly Nickel , I know a guy that drives a Tesla thats interested in clean Nickel
