Yes the loss of drilling fluids and the use of the patch up drilling fluids indicsted in the SONRIS comment for 16th March obviously pointed to a problem spot in the well.

The latest SONRIS comment indicates slow depth progress but success in getting through the problem :

    "03/23/2009 05 12341 DEALT W/ LOSS CIRC, HEAL HOLE & REAM OUT SAME; DRLD F/ 12339-12341'; RUNNING 7 5/8" LNR; "

Which is fairly straightforward in its interpretation I think.
So it is the report up to the 23rd March (03/23/2009)
The well is being drilled (status 05) and has reached 12,341 feet.
Dealt with loss of circulation (drilling fluids), heal = fixed(?)hole and reamed out (bored a bit larger again after glugging up the well)
Then drilled from 12,339 feet through to 12,341 feet. Then began running in a 7 and 5/8th inch liner into that section of the well.

Does that sound like a fair translation of the scout report ?
Hopefully by the report for the 30th March we will see some more depth progress as it drills ahead during this week.
Slowly but surely as we say.
