Yes you are correct that one strength of AKIDA is that it by being unconnected it cannot be attacked.

Another strength is that it has on board the Democratis University of Thrace cyber security spiking neural network algorithm which works with AKIDA to detect cyber attacks.

Now the most I can do here because the way this works has been kept secret is to give you my best understanding.

AKIDA technology identifies repeating patterns. These patterns can be previously known patterns that are stored in its neural library or it can detect patterns it has never seen before.

So AKD1000 in its library will hold all known cyber security threat patterns and use these to identify an attack of this class and with the help of the algorithm and its ability to identify unseen repeating patterns will be able to identify new threats and deny access.

This identified attack pattern can then be taught to every other AKIDA device in the system and stored.

In a server farm AKIDA could be set as a guard at an early point before incoming data reaches the firewall watching and checking for patterns to ensure novel unseen attacks are recognised and denied.
