All that work would be done by the Registry administered by Computershare. I don't think it would take that much effort. They also have two weeks to carry out the placement.
It looks like they want everyone to get as fair a share as possible, and prevent people from submitting multiple applications. Though I don't know how you can cross check an application from an individual and another from the same person on behalf of their SMSF.
They may also give preference to smaller shareholders. If for example some one with 200,000 shares may be given their full allocation while another with 10 million shares may be scaled back. Only a guess though!!!
