A very interesting (important?) article in this morning's business pages of "The Australian" p 15.

Headed "Renewables to power Boral's path to net zero" one-liners include

"Boral...wil explore carbon capture..."

"...achieve net zero by 2050...but need new and emerging technologies to get there..."

"Boral's strategy to become a leading innovator in sustainability by de-carbonising our cement..."

"We are working on new and emerging technologies. Just how we achieve our 2050 ambitions will depend on further development...of new and emerging technologies."

We know that Andromeda and Boral are trialling halloysite added concrete in Queensland. I don't think it's a long bow to draw that Andromeda and Boral might also be discussing direct carbon capture - as about to be trialled at Newcastle Uni once the pilot plant is assembled.

Either way, I'd say that Andromeda and halloysite are quietly lurking behind this news story.
