PS - how are your beloved renewables working out at the moment in the UK where the wind isn’t blowing?
Oh no - mass blackouts and electricity prices going though the roof.
I’m going to be very interested to hear your thoughts about how Australia should replace its current cheap reliable electricity source using fossil fuels with something else equally dependable - assuming you’d prefer not to have a nuclear plant in your neighbourhood that would supplement despatch reliability?
I read the other day that a 2500MWh nuclear power plant in the US has a proven capacity factor of 90.3% which compares to wind farms of circa 35 / 40% and similar for solar installation compared to nameplate capacity.
