Hi Wombat There was an Australian company '3ME Technology' on the news this morning that have developed a battery system that can be dropped into a diesel vehicle. From their web page "3ME Technology is an Australian heavy-vehicle battery manufacturer designing and producing energy-dense, lithium-ion battery systems in a modular format to power mining and military electric vehicles (EV) and equipment." They further state, "Our batteries’ advanced safety features and high performance are designed specifically for heavy-duty and harsh environments, and can be retrofitted into a range of vehicles from small utilities to very large production vehicles." This quote caught my attention, "Highest standards of safety achieved by market leading Cell Management System (CSM) that employs both active and reactive measures to neutralise the threat of battery fire." I'm wondering if they are neutralising the threat of battery fire by using Halloysite? Have you any thoughts on this? Thanks
