What a ridiculous statement/question! How could I comment as to how competent all posters on HC are. My point is your method for valuing businesses is fundamentally flawed which we have been through already at length. You acknowledge this “best way to value mining companies” you were apparently taught doesn’t include the very method universally accepted as the approach to value miners - DCF analysis - which is most likely why your target prices are distorted and inflated and not supported by anyone other than you - literally no one! For these reasons, I would say ppl should be wary of unqualified, semi-anonymous exisiting FMG shareholders that claim valuing a business like FMG is simple and straightforward. I can assure you valuing a business like FMG is a complicated task that requires sophisticated modelling that includes quantitative, qualitative and perceptual factors not just information from FMG’s annual report.
