Submarine use and space travel use are both potentially viable and very good applications of the CO2 capture capability of carbon nanotubes produced using halloysite.
The problem is the total demand for these two applications in tonnage is not very large.

There are plenty other potential applications where the demand is existing and significantly higher tonnage that submarines and space travel. I'm talking about scrubbing of CO2 from air in places like clean rooms in manufacturing or research settings, scrubbing of CO2 in hospital settings where some patients need to be in isolated atmosphere or on assisted ventilation or during some applications of anesthetics, scrubbing of CO2 in rebreathers used in recreational diving. In may large cities in Asia and around the world the air pollution is really bad and people living in apartments already try to have them sealed as much as possible and use air purifiers to filter the air inside so there would be a market for CO2 scrubber that would reduce the need for bringing in the supply of outside air. Very similar situation applies to people with severe allergies who try to stay indoor in sealed rooms during part of the year. There are plenty of sensible and reasonably viable applications of the technology where demand exists and current technology based on soda lime is far from perfect.
