As long as ADN is in All Ords, shorters won't have to hand back their shares at all. All Ords continuation means index fund holders like Vanguard who are happy to lend out their ADN stock to prime brokers to earn income. They will cover them whenever the event they are hoping for transpires, some from the MEP takeover when/if it goes unconditional and others when the pain gets too much/margin called.
