The only way a retail investor can win is to sit quietly at the back of the bus holding on tightly to their ticket. If the bus stops don’t get off but stay seated and have a coffee from your Thermos and one of your cut sandwiches. In other words don’t get off till you reach your destination.
Not a clever or exciting strategy and has its ups and downs but it will get me to where I am going. There will be those yelling abuse at me because I will not give up my seat.
There will be those offering me more for my seat than I paid and when I refuse laughing when someone offers me less further on along the route.
But I will just keep sitting on the bus knowing that with each passing day I am getting closer to my destination.
