No argument there. I've been saying for some time that JM needs to put away the Demtel man 'But wait, there's more!' routine and start to wind back expectations. I don't think he was purposefully deceptive, I think it's just a product of his natural excitement about the company. All the same, you want your MD to be as trustworthy as they are enthusiastic.

There were two major presos in the fortnight before the DFS. Working within ASX guidelines, he could have used both to explain that the DFS, though not exciting, would lay a conservative platform for the company to secure finance and fund its own operations and growth. That might have prepped some of the SH base.

Fundamentally, though, it's a retail base and the best comms in the world won't stop retail shareholders buying pumps or selling in panic.
