This idea that shorters have golden inside knowledge and no-one else does is garbage. Shorters frequently get it wrong like everyone else. If 2% of the stock is short and 98% is long are we seriously saying that 2% is smarter and better informed than everyone else? Nonsense. Shorters got the pullback from index listing and CR right. In hindsight, didn’t take a genius. I think they got lucky/massively fuelled the carnage with the DFS. Now, they’re most likely placing bets on an outcome like the rest of us.
