I’ve always liked and used the analogy of crumb throwing by Jackie Fairley but yep, ‘click bait’ is a good one. The mention of BARDA was just another classic Jackie Fairley move to keep shareholders on the hook and hoping.
As for a potential remdesivir deal with Gilead don’t give up hope because according to @antibotter, unless Jackie has retracted something in writing then it’s still on foot, even years later ….
