The reasons Australian investors lose so much on small caps is because (a) they don't do research and due diligence (b) they fall for hype and FOMO (c) they scare like gazelles at the waterhole, and (d) they lack patience.
Investors plural own the company - most individual investors are about as important as a long piss into Sydney Harbour and equally as knowledgeable.
@Rhino1963 was spot on the money. Just because you hold shares and read HC does not make you more knowledgeable than the board, management or even the top 20. We've already seen the dangers of this in the past month, with one know-all here starting a thread and trying to muster a second strike and board spill five months out from the AGM. Some people really do need to get over themselves.
