I am no fan of Andrew as I think he mismanaged the last capital raise, but I do think he might have done the right thing by resigning. He would have known in advantage of the disastrous plan to try to sneak out major negative news on a Friday with zero details and marked as non-price sensitive. If the rest of the board was keen on this idea (which after today’s double down it appears they were), then he would have had no choice but to resign if he wanted to retain any credibility.
I do think we should keep in mind that while James is the CEO and the public face of ADN, he is not solely responsible for this fiasco. The entire board signed off on Friday’s announcement as well as today’s pathetic presentation.
