I am indifferent to a consolidation. About a year ago I did some research that looked at about 10 stocks that consolidated. MC went up markedly on 3, down a lot on 4 and 3 basically went sideways. The worst was NVA. I just have never been able to figure what the logic was in doing a consolidation. I can't see what the advantage for a BOD is.
