I've had a similar experience with EME, though not quite that amount. It's still muddling along but I'm more than 75% down at the current price.
Look out for a good opportunity to switch into one of the other JVPs so that you can stay invested in the project if it looks like AWE will get its way (at whatever price).
Whatever you do, I hope that you get it all back and a lot more besides.
