re: croupier... WMC looked over a huge amount of ground and did a lot of work before 'finding ' Olympic Dam. Breecia is not that uncommon, but a large mineral trap is. I have no doubt that they looked at and rejected the current ground from air borne and ground surveys. They were using very new techniques to find OD and they were successful. There withdrawal from major exploration in Australia suggests that they came to the conclusion that all the large deposits had been found. I would like to think that there are some left, but like oil, only small discoveries are made these days. In deep water,or under ice there may be some good deposits but price and technology have to progress first.
