The only thing your comment and upvotes shows is the unbelievable ignorance of shareholders. Hearing aid margins are 75-80%. Governments and HMOs can negotiate up to 90% discounts for bulk purchases direct from the manufacturer.
The Chinese sell prescription hearing aids for under USD200/pair. They sell OTC hearing aids for as little as USD10. {Exactly the same model as on the FDA approved list.]
