I grew up with neighbour who was on permanent welfare. She supported her sons when they needed welfare too, went into the CES office making a noise and saying the right things to hurry the process along.

Great people IMO and the boys all now work gainfully employed ... she would have stood up for herself if such a letter arrived, I mean it's not like these folk are too busy to get their bank account evidence together and make an appointment.

What really irks me is I can get up and do 12 hour shifts at all ungodly hours but these folk apparently melted over a letter where they just had to provide some banking information.

I recently changed over life insurance providers and fair dinkum the depth of questioning and rights to medical privacy I gave up were truly draconian.
No one will care I broke down over that.
