Where do I start? I have held this stock for a very long time. During this time there have been many small projects come and go, I will itemise the ones I remember below. What kept me going long term was the belief that the true value was in the cancer drug delivery. Being in partnership with AZ and getting milestone payments gave a sense that we were on the right track. For me, this is a big blow. I get that they don't blame the delivery system, rather the AZ drug. Problem I have is that I have run out of patience and this is just another failed project. There has been no successful product release, any product that made it to market, really didn't perform. Lets look at some I remember

Water purification using nano tech, never took off and forgotten
Viral conjunctivitis using similar to Vivagel, never took off and forgotten
Agricultural pesticide using nano tech, This was possibly Starpharma's best result. It was eventually sold to a pesticide company. So far I haven't heard of it being released?
Condom lubrication that stops things like aids, Has a deal with Ansell, they never did anything with it, why? Maybe not a great topic when selling condoms!, in any case Ansell changed hands and ??? Other companies in other countries signed up, but never did anything substantial with it either. When I look back, I believe the reason for failure was that it was not really doing much more than what the condom was partly designed for. The likelihood of getting aids after using a condom was low anyway.
Vivagel, What a debacle! Took so many painful years to try and get FDA approval as a cure for BV, never happened. Eventually released in some countries as a topical treatment. Signed up with some nobody Mundipharma to distribute it, I think they got sold too? Needless to say no real income, so mustn't work or be that great?

So I feel let down and selling what I have left looks like a good idea.
