Scenario: You're a police officer and a female reports to you that she was raped as a child 30 years ago. What do you say to her?
Stop looking backwards. Look forward. The perpetrator has moved on and so should you.
Yes? No? Thoughts? Rape is a criminal offence under the Crimes Act (Vic). The Company has (potentially) committed an offence under Section 674 Corporations Act 2001 and also ASX listing rule 3.1 - both relating to Continuous Disclosure.
People need to be held accountable for their actions whether it occurred 12 months ago or 30 years ago. And if shareholders don't hold their Board to account for their actions (or lack thereof) then they just keep on getting away with it.
