I'll suggest one better Speye. Run a triple road train (which I'm pretty sure they can, let's say a B-triple) running 3 x 20ft high cube sea containers. You might even be able to do 3 x 20's with a B-double, anyway. I believe we're still looking at sea containers as the preferred method of shipment. They have a payload a smidge over 28T, so let's say 84T per trip. So that works out to be 3 to 4 truck loads to port per day. That's nothing when you're talking transport on arterial roads etc. What's better is you could probably do it with one truck & 3 b-triple sets if the transport company had the infrastructure in place. Leave one on site getting loaded, one at port getting unloaded & one on the road in transit loaded or unloaded. It works out to be less than 1200 trips a year for 100,000T. The LGA's will be concerned about truck movement numbers which I'm sure will have been factored in to any talks. Three to four a day is a drop in the ocean.
