Yes it does look like a bit of overlap. I assume that Carol is more "in the lab" while Herb is liaising with the briader industry? Def looks like more of a part time role unless he is doing other stuff for the company.
They talk of his experience in bringing drugs to market, so perhaps it is a multidisciplinary role?
