Too right mate problem is , not enough trades , not enough good supervisors or builders that know what they’re doing , supply and demand puts builders under pressure to pressure supervisors to put on trades that are either not qualified , under experienced, drug takers , unreliable, trades at the moment have builders by the balls regarding rates , I’ve never seen so many shit trades with shit attitudes in all my years as a maintenance guy . And then there’s the corruption and theft !! The Australian building industry in my opinion is broken and beyond repair, the kids straight out of school just don’t want to work , so builders are forced to use foreign workers who have absolutely no idea and do not speak English . I’ve put TroopGoods on ignore , wonder if he reads this weather he would agree? If he doesn’t he lying I’m on the ground day in day out and see it first hand everyday! The Chinese in the Plastering industry 70% here in WA are forcing the rate through the roof , they are dirty , work unsafe , don’t speak English and exploit each other , take short cuts at every corner , lots have visas that have expired builders know this and turn a blind eye !!! There is no integrity or pride in work just a attitude for top dollar for shit work which keeps me extremely busy earning top dollar to fix up everyone’s shit work while the poor consumer pay through the nose for sub quality work , there is no tough regulations put in place to protect the consumers it only protect the builder who can go bankruptcy with their $2.00 company , not pay anyone and start another company a few months later !! Corruption and pay offs at every level in the building industry. Come on FBR hurry up get to $1.00 and I’m outttaaaaaa here !!
