DEP Phase 3 trials no certainty, page-3

DEP in Radiotheranostics and ADCs is potentially the most promising path forward for us now imo. A lot of energy being directed there and a lot of market interest.


..... and yet our supposed partner (Merck) went with Daiichi Sankyo for their ADCs and committed up to $22 billion ($5.5 billion upfront) for them after looking under the hood through an NDA and 2 separate research agreements at Starpharma's ADCs for 2+ years ?


Not sure how 'promising' that is ? One might also ask - why do all the big pharma's that sign research agreements with Starpharma end up going elsewhere / walking away if the science is so good ?


Note:- The last upfront/milestone payment Starpharma received was from AstraZeneca for $5 million years ago but hey they must really want this Starpharma science if they aren't even in the fold anymore / undertaking any preclinical studies now after the AZD0466 failure ?

TOKYO, Oct 19 (Reuters) - Drugmaker Merck (MRK.N), opens new tab will pay Daiichi Sankyo $5.5 billion to jointly develop three of its candidate cancer drugs, they said, in a deal that could be worth up to $22 billion to the Japanese firm depending on the success of the cell-targeting therapies.
