Ukraine has run low new soldiers, time for the French and Baltic states to help out to free up some more in rear areas currently involved in training.

Zelensky quietly cancelled the demobilisation plan after the new mobilisation laws came into force. This points to losses and the size of the front.

Certainly Russian losses if significant will hamper operational effectiveness but the defence has similar problems and perhaps worse. The Ukraine guys on the front line have no defence against the glide bombs yet.

Russia is using attrition warfare to destroy the emplacements with heavy firepower before reconnaissance in force, rinse and repeat. Long combat line makes knowing where to place reinforcement challenging for Ukraine. Russia steadily taking cities and villages this year.
