@raiderup; until this week one of the few things missing off Peter Dutton's remarkable list of appalling failures / stuff ups was resurrecting 'BIG GOVERNMENT' by committing Australian taxpayers to bankroll what the private sector has no interest in ... nuclear power stations which are hideously expensive, slow to build, expensive to operate, have nowhere to store waste, huge drain on freshwater supplies and represent major security risks.

Dutton's formidable list now includes the Coalition's $Trillion $Debt, second-hand US submarines taxpayer will have to pay at least $365 Billion to purchase, the tenfold cost increase of Snowy 2.0, corroded Collins Class subs with three of the six unseaworthy, choppers that crash and had to be prematurely replaced, naval ships prone to breaking down ...

Yet this is the guy threatening to impose seven large taxpayer-funded nuclear power stations in communities even if they don't want a bar of it. The bloke who still hasn't realised that even if the first two come online in 2035-7 that does NOTHING to address current demand and costs.
