Assuming DERM give green light to ramp up gas production, let's indulge in a hypothetical and fast-forward 6-9 months... we have a pilot plant at BWC feeding electricity to the grid and earning maiden revenues. The third panel is feeding gas to the plant, confirming multi-panel operation. The potential fine associated with the release has been dealt with, and whatever the result, everyone's moved on. There's a panel flaring gas in Chile, demonstrating transportability of the technology. Plans for a larger-scale commercial plant in partnership with Antofagusta in Chile have either been announced or are in advanced development. Drilling confirms JORC tonnage in the States.
With the process successfully producing gas for more than 7 months now, the other bits of the puzzle described above can be reasonably expected to fall into place, provided DERM makes the call everyone's waiting for. In the above scenario, does it even matter all that much if Qld don't allow long-term commercial scale up beyond the pilot? I submit that it doesn't particularly.
Irrespective of Qld's long-term motives, the scenario above would surely put the SP at least at it's historic high-point in the mid 90's.
